About CDH

Congenital Heart Disease

CHD refers to congenital heart disease and is especially common in children.

The disease has two main causes:

  1. the formation disability or dysplasia in the heart, vena cava, and aorta during the embryo state of the child leading to the abnormal anatomical structure

  2. the ductus arteriosus not closed after birth.

The most common symptoms of CHD are:

  1. frequently catching colds

  2. poor growth and development

  3. poor health conditions

  4. repeated respiratory infections

  5. shortness of breath (causing their skin to turn into a purple and bluish shade)

  6. susceptible to pneumonia (lung inflammation)

Children who suffer from severe CHD show symptoms such as hypoxia and shock, possibly leading to death. However, if surgery is performed on time, they are able to recover.

For families that are financially unstable, they are not able to afford the surgery that costs anywhere from $8,000 to 20,000. These families have no choice but to leave their children suffering.

We, as Purple Bubble, are heartbroken to hear what these families are going through. Thus this organization was created in order to contribute as much as we can to make a difference and alleviate the burdens of these families.

Currently, we are still far from our goal. So we need your help!

We truly hope that you can make a donation after looking at some of the brilliant works that artists have kindly shared with us.

Because even with just a seemingly small contribution, it would make us one step closer to changing a child’s life.
