This is a painting of a surfer from an underwater perspective, imitated from an unknown artist on Pinterest. I drew this piece of artwork recently after I got home from a surfing trip. The tranquility of the painting is something that appeals to me. The painting portrays an underwater scene, so the main color being used is blue, which creates a very serene and muted atmosphere. There are plenty of negative space being applied in the artwork, which emphasizes the main subjects - the surfer and the corrugation of the water. Moreover, sophisticated, detailed shapes and line figures are also used when illustrating the water ripples. It is to show the movement and flow of the water, which adds dynamics to the painting.
